A Tribute To Elvis Starring Steve Brandes
Steve Brandes has been performing his tribute to Elvis for 17 years and is recognized as a premier tribute artist in the metropolitan St. Louis area due to his astounding pure vocal ability and electrifying shows. Steve has amazing range and the more powerful the song, the stronger his vocals become. Steve’s true passion for Elvis’ music lies in the latter years of Elvis’ career when he was known for hitting massive notes, making the audience feel the song and sending his fans into a state of frenzy or bringing them to tears. The uncanny resemblance of Steve’s vocal to that of Elvis’ are astounding. Steve also performs those fast tempo hits that Elvis was known for in the earlier years of his career but with a 70’s flare. The shows are packed with high octane energy! Just when you think Steve is finished with a song, he brings you right back in for another round of hip gyrating, side stepping moves that only Elvis could have made famous. Always the professional, Steve is true to his art and fully respects Elvis’ legacy by wearing replica costumes and jumpsuits and performing as a tribute artist. Steve is well studied in the authenticity of Elvis’ moves, spoken words, stage performances and his vocal ability.
Steve is a multi-award winning tribute artist and has been featured in Soap Opera Magazine with the stars of Days of Our Lives and has performed in many large venues in St. Louis. Steve recently appeared as special guest as the opening act for The Legendary Drifters and has expanded his performances into Wisconsin, Iowa and Indiana in addition to Illinois and Missouri.
Steve is available for performances with one of the 2 bands that currently back him. He utilizes a 4 piece band, ‘The Easy Street Band’ out of Springfield, IL, and a 5-7 piece band, ‘Matter of Time Band’ located in St. Louis, MO. He may also be hired as a solo performer using professional quality sound, lights and music. Steve fully admires Elvis’ contributions to the music and entertainment industry and would like it to be known that he prefers to be recognized as an “Elvis Tribute Artist”, rather than an “impersonator”. The variation between the two may seem insignificant, but Steve performs every show as a respectful tribute to “The King of Rock ‘n Roll” and does not want to imitate or impersonate the greatest legend of all time.
